Summer Space Camp – Vandenberg Rocket Camp

Many people have been visiting this Santa Barbara County blog in the last few weeks looking for information on the Endeavours camp at Vandenberg Air Force Base.  My son attended this camp for three years and really enjoyed it quite a bit.  I’ve been looking at their website and didn’t see any updated information for Vandenberg Air Force Base summer 2009 rocket and space camp, so I took a few minutes to track it down.  Sorry campers, the camp is not being presented this year.  This seems to be a trend this year, and quite a few summer camps have been cancelled and postponed.  Here’s the information from the Endeavours website:

The Endeavour Board has decided to Postpone Endeavour Camp 2009 (14th Annual) unil the Economy Improves. We plan to offer the camp again in the summer of 2010 or 2011. Please accept our apologies and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.
