Here’s an email I received from my sister Nancy today. She lives in South Lake Tahoe, where I grew up and graduated High School. She sends information on how to help the Jaycee Lee Dugard Family. If you’re looking for information on how to assist Jaycee Lee Dugard, please note the bank name and address where donations can be sent, it’s at the bottom of this post.
Hello Friends,
Jaycee Lee Dugard lived on the corner of our street, she was kidnapped while walking to my son Tim’s bus stop when he was 7 years old. This event changed our lives, you can only imagine the difficulty she will have rebuilding her life.
If you can spare a couple of bucks to help Jaycee and her two kids, it will be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word, even if you can’t help someone else may.
I apologize to those of you who don’t hear from me often (and here I am asking for $), this event has jolted even me out of my stupor….
Thanks,
Nancy
June 10th 1991 the community of South Lake Tahoe came together like never before to help meet the needs of a family facing a parent’s worst nightmare. In the past eighteen years since Jaycee Lee Dugard was kidnapped from our streets, Terry Probyn and so many members of this community never gave up hope that one day a miracle would happen and Jaycee would be found alive. That day by the grace of God has come.
Now it is time again for us as a community to come together in any way we can to not only rejoice but embrace the needs of this young woman and her two children.
None of us will ever be able to begin to imagine the immediate needs of this family, only that they will be great. Housing, food, education, and medical care top the list. Right now that list is endless.
Let us join together as we did 18 years ago in the way Tahoe does so well, to give this family the support and help they require so desperately, and keep “ Jaycee’s Hope “ alive.

Fundraiser Concert for Jaycee Lee Dugard
Residents Kathie Garcia and Fionn Lambert are hosting the event. “I’ve lived here a long time, and Jaycee’s disappearance 18 years ago had a significant impact on our community,” said Garcia. “I wanted to raise funds to help Jaycee in her recovery process and I thought a concert would be an excellent way to bring people together. I’ve reached out to the leaders in our community to participate and the response has been overwhelming – it will truly be a memorable event.”
Tickets are $25 for adults. Children 11 and under are free. Tickets are available online from Ticketmaster, at the door, or by calling the Horizon box office at (775) 588-6211.
The “Building New Bridges” event will benefit the Jaycee Dugard Family Fund. You can also make donations to the fund at Bank of the West, 2161 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. For more information call Kathie Garcia at (530) 542-4354
