There’s always something fun going on in Santa Barbara County at Kings Dance Studio in Santa Maria! Here’s an email I received this week:

January Dance News
Christmas is almost here & everyone is busy doing last minute shopping & planning Christmas dinner or making travel plans. We love the lights & everything decorated with sparkle. The studio has all the glitz and a 12 ft tree (16 feet on the stand). By the way, we have 3 trees at home!
Anyhow, there are a few more drop in classes left in December (before all the sparkle, lights, & trees are taken down) so come on by to dance! Drop In classes are $10 each but the Open House is FREE
Dec 22nd – SWING
Dec 23rd – WALTZ
Dec 24th – Open House 1-3 PM (Refreshments & a little dancing)
Dec 25-28th -closed
Dec 29th- LIFTS CLASS (DON’T BE AFRAID)
Dec 30-Jan4th-closed
The Christmas Party was wonderful with 50 people in attendance. Lots of goodies, door prizes, & especially dancing. Richard and Vanessa performed a Nightclub 2-Step and West Coast Swing, as well. Thank you everyone for coming!

2/20 – Metal Ball – Become certified & recognized as a Bronze, Silver, or Gold level dancer & graduate into the next level. This certification will be recognized at any affilliated dance studio in the country, including Arthur Murray. Please see Dave .
2/28 – Annual Western Dance Jamboree at Cambria. This one day event is a lot of fun so don’t miss it. Registration form attached (excuse the color as it came to me this way)
3/13 – High Desert Challenge – Workshops and Competitions – more info soon!
3/19 – Chamber Mixer @ Studio. 5-4 PM
3/21 – Technique & Styling Workshop for Men & Women by Caroline from Santa Barbara
4/29-5/1st – Emerald Ball – This is the North America’s largest Ballroom Competition. The celebrities from “Dancing with the Stars”will all be there. We will be planning a day trip. More later but please let us know if you are interested in going. http://www.emeraldball.com/
